What are STS 01 and STS 02?<\/span><\/h3>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

STS (Standard Scenarios) are European standard scenarios established by EASA for professional drone operations in the specific category. They allow you to carry out medium-risk operations without the need for an individual operational authorisation, provided that the technical requirements and the pilot’s qualifications are met.<\/p>\n

Operations in direct line of sight in populated areas, with full control of the operating area. Requires drones with C5 class marking.<\/p>\n

Operations beyond line of sight in sparsely populated areas, with airspace observers or equivalent systems. Requires drones with C6 class marking.<\/p>\n

  • A1\/A3 certificate (mandatory)<\/li>\n
  • A2 certificate (recommended \u2014 if you do not hold it, the STS validates it automatically upon passing)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        How does the process work?<\/span><\/h3>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

        1. Online theory training:<\/strong> Access the materials and prepare for the theory exam.<\/li>\n
        2. Theory exam on the AESA platform:<\/strong> Webcam-supervised. With A2: 30 questions \/ 30 min. Without A2: 40 questions \/ 40 min (the A2 is validated upon passing). 75% to pass.<\/li>\n
        3. AESA theory pass certificate:<\/strong> A date is assigned for the practical exam.<\/li>\n
        4. Choice of practical option:<\/strong> STS-01, STS-02 or both; 2- or 4-hour flight pack.<\/li>\n
        5. In-person practical exam:<\/strong> With certified instructors at our bases.<\/li>\n
        6. Submission of the practical PASS to AESA:<\/strong> Certification completed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
