What is the A1/A3 + A2 Pack?
If you are starting from scratch and want to reach the highest level of the open category, this pack is the smartest choice. You take both licences progressively through a single enrolment process: first the A1/A3 and, once obtained, the A2.
When you finish you will have:
- A1/A3 Licence: to fly drones of up to 25 kg in the open category
- A2 Licence: to fly drones of up to 4 kg in environments where people are present
Both certificates are official, recognised by AESA and valid throughout the European Union.

A1/A3 Licence
- Basic air regulations, permitted heights and distances, operational safety, privacy and data protection, responsible use of the drone.
- Online exam on the AESA platform (40 questions, 75% to pass).
A2 Licence
- Basic meteorology, drone performance, safety distances, risks in urban areas, airspace control, emergency management.
- Online exam supervised by webcam (30 questions, 75% to pass).
- Practical self-training declaration included.
How does the process work?
- Online enrolment: A single registration to access all the training.
- A1/A3 phase: Study and sit the online exam on the AESA platform. Once you pass it, you obtain your first certificate.
- A2 phase: With the A1/A3 in hand, you access the advanced training and complete the practical self-training.
- A2 exam: Supervised by webcam. Once you pass it, you obtain your second certificate.
- Two official certificates: Ready to operate with full legal coverage in the open category.

Can I take the A2 directly without the A1/A3?
No. The A1/A3 is a mandatory prerequisite. That is why the pack is designed to take them progressively.
How long do I need to complete the pack?
The training is flexible and online. The only condition is that the A2 exam must be sat after passing the A1/A3.
Are both certificates valid throughout Europe?
Yes. Both are based on EASA regulations and are recognised in all European Union countries.
Is the pack cheaper than booking the licences separately?
Yes. The pack has a combined price that is more advantageous than booking them independently.
What happens if I pass the A1/A3 but fail the A2?
The A1/A3 certificate is yours as soon as you pass it. You have two attempts for the A2, independently of the first exam.
